2011 BYD E6 - Rear SideA range of 400 km and 100 km per 18kWh consumption means a 72 kWh battery pack that would the biggest in the manufacturing electric cars. BYD said a 48 kWh battery pack for smaller E6 [4] during his debut at the 2009 North American International Auto Show.
At the 2010 NAIAS, BYD reported a range of 205 miles per charge, an estimated 60 miles an hour acceleration 0 to 14 seconds and a top speed of 87 mph for the E6 [5].
BYD’s “Fe” Lithium iron phosphate battery which powers of the E6, is one of the central business technologies. All chemicals that can be used in the batteries are recycled. There are four different combinations of E6 with Power: 101 hp (75kW), 54 101 hp (75 kW 40), 215 hp (160kW) and 215 54 hp (160 kW 40). [6] The two engine options, front and rear motors to use, making the car all-wheel drive.

The E6 protected with the latest body / frame integral construction, the battery in a specially designed safety cell that is fully integrated into the vehicle. The battery cell is about 175 cm long, 95 cm wide and 30 cm.
The 5-person e6 will be marketed as family-oriented crossover vehicle market. The high-tech e6, the size of a typical American family vehicle with plenty of interior space and legroom with considerable room for passengers, luggage space plus a generous offer.
